Shambhala is my new favorite B&M rollercoaster

2 weeks ago on 24 june, the PortAventura park in Salou celebrated the start of summer 2017 with a special “White Night”. The themepark was open till 3.00am and all the rides were included.
After a trainride from Barcelona I arrived at the park shortly after noon. After a quick lunch I bought myself a “Express Pass”, because all the major rides had very long waiting lines this day, mostly at the waterrides.

My first ride of the day was on the Furious Baco rollercoaster.
But the only good thing on this ride was the impressive launch of the coaster, the rest of the ride was very bumpy. I did not like it at all.

So instead of a second ride on Furious Baco I went straight to the China area of the park, for that other rollercoaster that was completely new for me.
For my first ride on Shambhala I was very lucky and only had to wait for 10 minutes to get a seat on the second row.
After all the securitychecks were done, the train was released. Going up the lifthill I was a bit nervous because Shambhala was the rollercoaster with the tallest lifthill I have done, but I also enjoyed the beautiful views of the park.
And what followed was an empressive ride filled with speed and airtime.
After our train returned to the station I really had to catch a breath before I got back inline again for a reride. I did 2 more rides in the backseat and in the middle before I went to see the rest of the park.

Because of the special “White Night” today, the park was open till 3:00am.
So I was able to ride Shambhala in the dark too.
With my “Express Pass” not used for the ride before, I wanted to ride Shambhala frontseat in the dark. At 11pm I went in the queueline but did not have to wait very long.
The ride that followed was even more impressive than my rides during the day.. I thought the train was even running a lot faster now. So we had more airtime and a more out of control feeling during this ride.

After this ride I needed some time to relax and bought myself a cold glas of beer.
Sitting at the terras overlooking both Shambhala and Dragon Kahn, I saw that both rollercoasters were riding very high capacity with trains passing by almost every minute.
I had never experienced this at this time of the day.

After I finished my beer I went back to Shambhala for some more rides. And there still was almost no waiting time now. Between midnight and 1:00am I made my last 2 rides on Shambhala of the day.
After this I made a relaxed walk around the park and went back to my hotel.
It was around 2:00am when I went to bed and had my best dream ever about the best rollercoaster I had ever done.
