Thorpe Park wants to build the UK’s tallest roller coaster

Thorpe Park is currently holding a public meeting for local residents to discuss plans for a new roller coaster to be built. In addition, it has just been announced that Thorpe Park wants to build the highest roller coaster in the United Kingdom. This roller coaster would then have to be 72 meters high from sea level.

The rumor mill is of course also immediately started with speculation that the roller coaster may also contain inversions, which with this height would probably exclude a B&M (since their Hypers have no inversions).

More information will hopefully be available from tomorrow on this website: https://www.thorpepark-consultation.com/ which was mentioned earlier in this topic .

At the moment, the record holder is still the Big One in Blackpool Pleasure Beach, so the current record dates from 1994. The new roller coaster will (if indeed the sea level is assumed) be 1 foot higher than the Big One
