Almost 1 year ago Parc Asterix near Paris in France announched some major plans for the park till 2020.
One of the most interessting points in those plans were the announcement of a big new ride for the parks 30th anniversary in 2019.
Already in 2016, the park conducted an opinion survey on 3 rides : A greek themed family Gerstlauer (opened in 2017 – Pégase Express), an egyptian themed Huss Top Spin, and a norse themed B&M flying coaster.
Plans for the topspin and rollercoaster are still shelved, but many rollercoaster enthousiasts still think the park will build that flying coaster for 2019.
This could be the replacement of Goudurix, the old Vekoma multi-looper, for which 2018 would be the last year of operation.
